Diana and Christena

Many you ask how do we choose which families to help.   Let me tell you how we met the Brice family.  Puppies!!   Yup, they were our neighbours and their dog had puppies and every evening around sunset I would go out and visit with the puppies.

 Over time I got to know their Mom and in turn all of the 13 children.  Yes you read that correctly!   :-)   We basically fell in love with this family.   We had many  'beach visits' and the more I got to know them the more I realized that BIG needs.

  After much thought and discussion we decided to take them on and teach them to make jewelry.   The girls started coming over on Saturdays to learn how to make necklaces and earrings.   We have the girls sponsored for school and Christena graduated with a degree in tourism last year.  Diana just finished grade 8.  Diana's speciality is wrapping local found seaglass and Christena enjoys making chunky necklaces and long chain link necklaces.

   They also love to come to church with us on Sundays.  It is about a 35 min. drive so we enjoy the time in the car to talk, and laugh together.  We are very proud of these girls... our girls....
